Day minus 7.

Seven days left until journey’s beginning.

Through a whirlwind of planning, budgeting, booking flights, leaving our jobs, mortgage renegotiations, intravenous inoculations, subcutaneous yellow fever vaccinations, leaving parties, moving house, fraudulent eBay disputes, doxycycline, selling cars, a shed load of insurance taken out, and sagas of iPhone acquisitions, we today stand one week before departure. Excited is not the word as we top and tail loose ends, end subscriptions, and visit our friends and family, spending quality time before we go away.

We know not the path in front of us, and the tales to be woven like a bookish spider but it shall be documented upon these pages. There may be gaps in the stories or misremembered facts depending on my sobriety/wether they make us look cool or not, but it shall be written and it shall have been done.
